First Steps Programme
Started in 1997, the First Steps Programme, is offered to the children of Guardian employees. This programme involves a weeklong seminar, bringing to light many aspects of the corporate world. Interviewing skills, resume writing, appropriate corporate appearance, financial planning and an IT tutorial are some of the fundamental features. Candidates are invited to submit resumes and, once they successfully pass the interview stage, are given employment during the August school break vacations.
