GHL believes that an unswerving commitment to education, at every level is integral to the development of our region. We congratulate the recipients of the prestigious UWI / Guardian Life of the Caribbean Premium Teaching Awards, whose excellence in tertiary education, shines brilliantly, lighting the way for others.

Dr. John F. Campbell has earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree, first and second Masters of Philosophy and PhD. Majoring in History. In his sphere of authorship, he has written numerous journal articles, resources reviews and newsletters, all dealing with issues of Caribbean affairs and development.

A Nigerian by birth and Trinidadian by naturalization, Dr. Edwin Ikenna Ekwue is a Senior Lecturer in the Biosystems Programme of the Department of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering at UWI, St Augustine Campus. He has written 959 academic papers, 34 of which appeared in refereed journals.

 

Dr. Laura Roberts-Nkrumah is the holder of a PhD. In Agriculture, a Postgraduate Diploma in Management and a Master in Education. As a lecturer in Crop Production, she specializes in horticulture courses and tutors the distant-taught MSc. in Agriculture and Rural Development.

 

Professor Kit Fai Pun has been serving as the coordinator of Industrial Engineering research group and programmes in the Department of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering, UWI, St Augustine, since 2001. To date he has completed 13 research projects and published more than 180 journal articles and technical papers.
