For the second year in a row, Larry Tai Chew's Unit reigns as Unit of the Year  - General.

Larry feels that his agency's strategy is hard to beat. "We promote a "total needs" type of service. This kind of comfort level with general insurance from an entire Unit in a life insurance company is unusual, but it's been the core background of our entire branch."

Since the Unit joined Guardian Life two and a half years ago, it has blossomed from three agents to ten. With the move to a new office later this year, Larry expects to have no fewer than fifteen on board. The Unit nurtures a broad client base, which will blossom as more agents join the fold. The sense of belonging to a family, which is key to Larry's management style, will become even more important as the Unit grows. It will be his focus in the coming year, that, and pulling a hat-trick in this award category in 2007.
